The band formed in 1990 and included musicians that had varying
track records and successes in their past. By the mid 90's White Lie signed a management
deal and resumed their live performances. White Lie opened for acts such as Ugly Kid Joe
at NYC’s celebrated Cat Club, Queen Latifah at the historic Flushing Meadow Queens
Day Festival, and Grand Master Flash at Light, Wisdom & Sound. With original music
being written by Joe Kirsch, the band pounded the NYC and surrounding area circuits,
including regular gigs at CBGB’s, and The China Club, and received rave reviews as
being “a bands band”. White Lie included:

Cuts from the WHITE LIE LIVE and STUDIO EP played on over 150 college
radio stations during a "syndicated, self promoted press blitz" during CMJ week
A few cool commercial stations even took to the WHITE LIE phenomenon
including WNEW-FM's (NY) Metal Shop; WHTG(NJ); KLOS(LA).
The WHITE LIE RADIO ROCUMENTARY was aired on College Stations around
the US
A little TELEVISION was surely a help including a 30 minute
documentary "THE UNSIGNED" on Public Access Television
Featured on a Public TV Special called "SEX,DRUGS, & ROCK
AND ROLL"; most recently in a Made for TV Pilot called "THE CHASE"
