When you need to change or correct file names, or replace file extensions, STRING REPLACER is the tool of choice. The example in the screenshot shows that a previous process had added the extension ".bad" to the XML files in a directory. When the issue was corrected, all of those XML files needed to be named correctly. STRING REPLACER did it with a few quick clicks.

Installation:

Your system should include all required supporting files. If not, simply Google for any DLL or other supporting files in which you get a "missing file" error for.

• Download the zip file here
  
• Unzip, and place the following  file in any directory
  
  - StringReplacer.exe
  
• Create a shortcut to StringReplacer.exe and place it on your desktop
  
• On first boot, the app will create the file stringreplacer.ini in the application directory.
