Repetition is one of the most basic learning techniques. Infants use it to learn to speak. Athletes use it to perfect athletic skills. MIND FIRE allows you to program the curriculam (Questions, Answers, and Images), refferred to as "THE STUDY" . MIND FIRE then allows the user to learn by viewing the study at their own leisure and pace. You can create an unlimited amount of studies on any topic, from basic skills in Mathematics, English, etc to complicated studies in Engineering, Finance, etc. The STEP function allows the user to view the study by pressing a button to move forward or back, or use the AUTOMATED feature to allow the app to step through the study at a predetermined "slideshow" like interval. This version of the app comes with 2 studies (FOOTBALL, and MP3 COMPRESSION) .... but you can roll as many of your own as you like. Maybe I'll create a few and make them available on this site for you.

• Include images in your study. Although not meant to be a slideshow viewer, the app allows you to add images to your study. Here I was working on a study of the Kennedy assassination that I was asked to present as a learning topic for a local schooll.

• No installation is required
• It adds no files to your system other than the Executable, INI, and 2 free .QNA study files that you download and place.
• It adds nothing to the system registry
• It contains no spyware
• It's free for use.

Installation:

Your system should include all required supporting files. If not, simply Google for any DLL or other supporting files in which you get a "missing file" error for.

• Download the zip file here
  
• Unzip, and place the following  files in any directory
  
  - MindFire.exe
  - Template_For_QnA_Edit_Then_Change_Extension_To_qna.txt
  - mp3compression.qna
  - football.qna
  
• On first boot, the app will MOVE the QNA files to a NEW DIRECTORY that it will create named QNA located as a sub directory of whereever you place the MindFire.exe file.
  
• Create a shortcut to MindFire.exe and place it on your desktop

Creating ,QNA Study Files: 

• Use a plain text editor like NOTEPAD to create your own study files. Please see the various HELP Menus for more info.

• The 1st line must be the TITLE of the study
• Any line starting with Q- will be displayed as a QUESTION
• Any line starting with A- will be displayed as an ANSWER
• Any line starting with P-, and followed with the exact path and file name to the image will be displayed as a PICTURE. Example: P-c:\mypictures\diagrams\image1.jpg
• Do not leave any line spaces in the QNA file, and don't use MS WORD or any other RTF app to edit or create the QNA files.

• The You MUST RESTART the app after editing the QNA files and you may have to use the RELOAD function (double click the QNA file in the app window) to use the most current version of the study file
