GREENPOINT MUSIC PRESENTS
THE COVER ART OF MAKO - JOE MAKOWSKI:

ABOUT JOE:

One of the unsung heroes of the GreenPointMusic family of artists isn't a guitarist, or sax player, or vocalist virtuoso -- nope. It's the guy who creates the cover art! We know him for years as "Hollywood"; others call him "Mako" -- but the phrase that you can be sure is common, is TALENTED! We'd like to thank our man Joe Makowski for all that he's contributed! Here's a short bio that Joe cooked up for us -- and DON'T FORGET TO CLICK ON THE IMAGES TO TAKE A CLOSER LOOK!

At exactly the age of 8 I totally remember becoming fascinated with comic books. I lived on Meeker
Ave. In Greenpoint and would get a quarter from my grandmother and walk two blocks to Daves
Luncheonette and buy two 12 cent comics and a penny Bazooka Joe bubblegum.

I immediately started to draw the characters in composition notebooks and of course they looked
EXACTLY like the comic figures in my 8 year old mind! Over the last 51 years I'd say I'm a huge
copier of the various artists styles and characters but I have to admit I think I got a " little bit " better.
I hope.
